Dear friends in mission
So we got back home from Albania last weekend. From Finland with me traveling was Jim Hakola and from Latvia Edijs Veips. There are so many things to be thankful for!
As the photos below will convey, there were many prison concerts in different parts of the country, a teaching session and an evangelistic concert downtown Tirana. What really impressed me particularly this time was the great impact, maturity and servant-mindedness of our local partners and prison chaplains. Fred Westerink who was our contact for this trip and also in charge of the prison ministry in Albania is heading a ministry with a great vision that reaches people in a real way. And when God is at work, blessing and His influence typically work on many levels and many directions, in the “big” and in the “small”. This was the case here as well.
Speaking of servant-mindedness, a member of my team that has displayed all of this for years already is our soundman/handyman Edijs Veips. He has been such a blessing for me and many others with his skill and attitude, always going the extra mile, in all kinds of working conditions, with a willing heart. Such an example of discipleship put in practice.
I think your heart will be filled with joy seeing these photos, knowing that this is something we do together. When you take part in the labor, you also share the joy. Ü
There are many possibilities to communicate Jesus in Albania now – the country needs Him badly. This was our second trip to Albania and I’m thinking that it’s not the last. May the Holy Spirit lead the way.
Thank you for praying, for sharing this with us!
in Christ
Nina
